A rare and complete antique Jaff Kurdish tribal double saddlebag (Khorjin), intact with its original dark brown flat-woven goat hair backing and braided closure loops. The knotted pile bag face features the signature Jaff Kurdish lattice composition composed of repeating concentric lattice diamonds filled with polychrome stepped stars and cruciform floral motifs. The palette includes rich midnight blue, madder red, saffron yellow, forest green, and natural ivory wool. A multi-colored check-patterned kilim webbing along the upper fringe band and barber-pole selvage cords highlight its authentic nomadic construction. Unlike separate bag faces, retaining the original flat-woven back panel intact makes this piece an exceptional collector-grade ethnographic textile.
