This is a classic Central Asian Uzbek nomadic flatweave known as Gajari (also spelled Ghajari or Ghajaree). Given its size (13" x 16"), corner cords, and tassel, this piece is a nomadic bag face (often called a chanteh or small vanity bag) or a small cushion panel, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.
