A Chinese silk pictorial rug. from the middle of the 20th century On a border-less burgundy red ground, 11 Immortals stand on clouds .Each immortal has its own unique colorful outfit or costume. The calligraphy most likely shows that it was woven somewhere in Beijing although we are not certain. The gold Fringes add additional harmony.
