The classical composition features a central layered starburst medallion enveloped by scrolling Shah Abbas lotus blossoms, palmettes, and leafy tendrils on a vibrant ruby red field. The field is anchored by intricate ivory and pale sky-blue corner spandrels and framed by a rich navy blue main border filled with dense floral sprays. Hand-knotted entirely in pure silk on a silk foundation, the rug exhibits a shimmering luster that shifts in tone depending on the light angle. The reverse displays razor-sharp knot precision and includes original hand-sewn leather side strips applied along the back selvages to ensure the edges lay flat
